Shadow Flare

I wanted intensity to sit inside a disciplined outline. I kept the surrounding planes restrained so that the center could hold its tension. For me, the piece is about the effort of containing something restless.

Materials and specifications: Solid 925 Sterling Silver, Natural Tourmaline, Black Spinel; Size: HK 15 (approx. US 7.25); Weight: 7.5g. Hand-carved organic setting, aged matte silver.
