Nebula Core

I wanted to bring the scale of a night sky into an intimate object. I treated the dark mass as a field for small interruptions of light. To me, its uneven outline keeps that imagined universe from becoming too orderly.

Materials and specifications: Solid 925 Sterling Silver, Blue Sapphire, Crystal Opal; Size: HK 17 (approx. US 8); Weight: 12.9g. Micro-carved bezel settings, volcanic texture.
